Surfside Yoga: Squarespace Website & E-Commerce

When the gorgeous Lou, from Surfside Yoga approached me to work on her website redesign and development of her e-commerce store, I did a little happy dance.

Lou lives and breathes her salty, beachy, healthy, zen-flow brand to the max - as a yoga teacher who takes her yoga students out to the sand so they don't have to choose between yoga or time at the beach! I wish I lived closer so I could get me some Surfside Yoga Spirit!

The Website redesign

In the redesign of Lou's website, we took her already existing Squarespace site and migrated it onto a more powerful and e-commerce suited template - Brine.

The Brine template is a powerfully flexible template that means with just a touch of CSS styling, your site starts to look, well, less like a Squarespace site (not that there's anything wrong with that, but a gal likes to stand out from the crowd ammmirrrrright?).

Lou's jam packed yoga schedule meant we had to be creative about how we served up the class information. By using categories to define each class type, we were able to break down the content into more manageable chunks of information. 

Her gorgeous images were only highlighted by a beautiful new e-commerce store that is serving up a range of beach-inspired yoga gear, wear and jewellery. The e-commerce store features, quick view, product zoom and categorises products.

I could not have been happier with how this baby turned out. Thanks Lou for trusting me with your internet baby and taking the leap to expand Surfside's offerings. Namaste!

 

Squarespace's Powerful E-commerce Platform

Surfside Yoga's online shop is stocked with beautiful merch and takes advantage of some of Squarespace's most powerful e-commerce features, such as categories, custom shipping, product zoom and quick view, to name a few.
